Pharmacogenomics · Prototype
Medicine that fits your genes. We are building a personalised health platform, starting with pharmacogenomics.
Healthyven explores how pharmacogenomics, the study of how genes affect the response to medicines, could support care for type 2 diabetes and heart and metabolic conditions. Always with published guidelines. Always with a clinician deciding.
How it works
Three steps, from a gene to a guideline. In this prototype, every genetic result is synthetic.
01 · Genotype
Read the genes
A genetic test reads small differences in a few genes that affect how the body handles some medicines. This is the genotype.
02 · Phenotype
Translate them
The genotype is translated into a phenotype, for example “intermediate metabolizer”. The app uses published tables for this step and never guesses.
03 · Guideline
Show the guideline
For each medicine, the app shows what the published guideline says for that phenotype, with its source, version, strength and a link. A clinician decides what to do.
For patients
Follow your daily health in one place. A demo of what a patient app could look like.
- Log your glucose and see your trend
- Keep a list of your medicines and note when you take them
- Set a weekly goal and look back at past ones
- Follow your weight and HbA1c over time
- Log a short walk after a meal and compare your glucose before and after
- Try the genetics part with a sample genetic file
Please do not upload your real genetic data. Use the sample file.

For patientsFor clinicians and pharmacists
A decision-support view of pharmacogenomic results, tried out with synthetic demo patients only.
- Phenotype first. The raw genotype only when you ask for it
- Guideline text word for word, with source, version, strength and link
- Each patient shown with the rules of their own country
- For pharmacists: a medicine lookup and a printable summary
- Every time the raw genotype is shown, it is written to an audit log
Professional accounts start as a request. An admin checks it and must approve it before you can open the professional area.
For clinicians and pharmacistsSecurity and trust
Your genetic data is personal. In Healthyven you stay in control of it. Every safeguard below exists in the prototype today.
You decide who sees your results
A clinician or pharmacist sees your gene results only after you link to them with their code, an invite link or a QR code. You can end access at any time.
Only your gene results are shared
A linked professional sees your pharmacogenomic results, never your glucose readings, medicines, notes or uploaded files.
Every opening is recorded first
When a professional opens a linked patient's results, an entry is written to the audit log first. If it cannot be written, nothing is shown.
Professionals are checked
Clinicians and pharmacists get access only after an admin has checked their professional registration. Those details are visible to admins only.
Invites that do not linger
An invite works once, expires after 7 days and can be cancelled. Its secret part is kept only as a fingerprint, never in readable form.
Locked down in the database
Row-level security in the database decides what each account may read. The data is stored in the EU (Frankfurt).
Honest note: Healthyven is a prototype. It runs on synthetic (made-up) data only, so please do not enter real personal or health data. We are working toward an independent security review, a data protection impact assessment (DPIA) and named clinical review.
Our approach
Built on published guidelines
Recommendations come from CPIC (Clinical Pharmacogenetics Implementation Consortium), whose guideline data is openly available. Every recommendation keeps its source, version, strength and link. In this prototype they are shown for demonstration and have not been clinically reviewed.
Local standards are respected
In the Netherlands, the local standard is DPWG (Dutch Pharmacogenetics Working Group). DPWG text is not included in this app; CPIC is shown as an international reference.
Decision support, not a replacement
Healthyven does not diagnose or prescribe. It supports, and never replaces, the judgement of a clinician or pharmacist.
Sources, not endorsements
CPIC and DPWG are named only as sources. They have not reviewed or endorsed Healthyven.
