For institutions · Prototype
Pharmacogenomics for care systems, built on consent.
Healthyven is a prototype. This page describes how hospitals, clinics, health insurers and public health bodies could use a platform like it. Nothing here is a product offer, and all data in the prototype is synthetic.
What institutions could use
Three ideas we are exploring. In the prototype they exist only as early versions with synthetic data, or not yet at all.
Population view
Aggregated data from people who gave consent: how many have a result for a gene that a CPIC guideline covers, grouped by phenotype. No names and no individual records.
Care-team view
Clinicians and pharmacists see the CPIC phenotype and the published guideline action for a patient who has given consent. In the prototype this exists for approved professional accounts.
Reporting
Aggregated summaries for quality and planning work, counted only from people who agreed to it, never individual data. This is not built yet.
How it works in principle
Consent first
A person chooses to take part and gives consent. Care and research are separate choices.
Only a few markers
From an uploaded genetic file, only a small list of gene markers is kept. The rest is not stored.
Published guidelines
The markers are matched with published CPIC tables. Where the tables give no answer, nothing is guessed.
A clinician decides
Clinicians and pharmacists see the information and make the decisions. Healthyven does not diagnose or prescribe.
Aggregated views only
An institution could see counts across many consenting people, never one person's data.
What a population view could look like
A made-up example to show the idea. These numbers do not describe any real place or people.
Privacy and consent first
Built around GDPR principles
A clear purpose, as little data as possible, and the right to withdraw at any time.
No data without consent
Each consent is separate, for example for care and for research, and never bundled with another. Every consent can be withdrawn.
Consent-based care link
A doctor sees a patient's gene results only through a read-only link that the patient chooses to create.
Access rules in the database
Every table has access rules, so each person sees only what they are allowed to see.
This prototype has not had a legal or data-protection review.
